I knew Marilyn for many years as a fellow church member. We served on committees together. However, I did not know her well personally. When she learned that I had a boxer dog, she shared with me her memories of her own boxer, Susie. From then on, she was annually mailed my picture Christmas card of myself with my boxer.

A wonderful Grandmother to me and Rob! Blessed to have such a close loving relationship for so many years. Lots of touching memories of swimming, old movies, games of UNO, singing hymns, going to the Salem Mall and fast walking everywhere. Ha ha. We miss and love you Gram. Big hugs and thanks for everything!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. There are so many ways to describe Marilyn. She was deeply devoted to her church, family and friends. She was happy, fun-loving and saw the goodness in everyone. I have so many wonderful memories of her. My parents also have many memories of good times with her and asked me to pass along their condolences. We all cherish her memory. She was truly a one-of-a-kind woman and will be missed. I have learned many things from her and am grateful beyond words for having her in my life.

Cypress Pointe took very good care of Marilyn when she could no longer take care of herself. It was hard to watch her decline but through it all she was always happy to have people visit.
