SEMPLE Rex (David) (Glasgow)
At home, on Friday, December 25, 2020, in his 84th year. Rex, husband of Sheila and previously of Rona, father of Caroline and Chris, Grandpa of Rebecca, Ruairidh and Abbie, Great-Grandpa of Louie, father-in-law of Keith and Mel. Formerly of the Scottish Office, including social work services, careers service branch, managing the European Regional Development Fund for Scotland and secondment to the Urban Council of Hong Kong. Raconteur and teller of jokes, wordsmith, crossword fanatic and widely read. World traveller, photographer, train enthusiast, cricketer. Lover of jazz, world and classical music and of the Scottish countryside especially the Borders where he was born. Friend and companion. Unforgettable and much loved. The Funeral Service will be held at North Dalnottar Crematorium, Clydebank on Wednesday, January 20, starting at 2.30 pm.
