Phil, You were always my hunting buddy...always had to bag the horns, competitive, kind and caring. I have always missed you and may you rest in peace, knowing that one day, we shall meet again.

Phil was one of my very best friends for over 50 years. He was someone that many people would say that about. He was one of the boys! He will always be remembered fondly as a great friend and teammate of the Black and Silver " FEDS"! !

My heart goes out to Nancy and Katie and all those who knew and loved Phil. So many fond memories and great weekends spent with him and Nancy when they would come to visit Katie at Ohio State. He treated her friends like family and I feel so lucky to have known him. He had the kindest eyes and heart to match. I will always picture him with his sidekick Brutus and smile. Rest In Peace, Phil, and GO BUCKS!

Phil was genuine, open, caring, funny and fun to be around. I have many fond memories with him ranging from low key nights of endless topic conversations through large celebrations and a lot of tailgating for the Buckeyes. My first impressions were that he was larger than life and that he loved Nancy. Through the years those impressions never changed. Phil will be missed and remembered by so many.

All of Katie's friends (myself included) loved Phil. He was genuinely interesting, quirky and funny. He loved Katie, which made us all love him, and he and Nancy made a perfect pair. He will be missed by so many.

R.I.P. Phil... You will be missed dearly.
I didn’t get as much time with you as I would’ve liked to, but the times we spent together were never dull! Phil always wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time, including himself! He took me in from day one and was grateful for the love I had for his daughter Erin Baxendale and for giving him a grandson. He loved his dog, he loved his Buckeyes, he LOVED to talk (for hours on end)! He loved his family... He did his best... and we loved him for that. Our world won’t be the same without you...

Phil was the best uncle and friend a nephew could ever ask for. I will always cherish the great times we had. I know he missed his mom and dad and if there's any silver lining in his passing, it's that he got to go home and be with them again. I love you Phil. Take care until we meet again.

Philip, Jim, Gary, David, and Fay were all born the same year. Philip. Jim, and Tom grew up playing together. Death of a loved one is never easy but hope you find comfort in the fact he will be met at the golden gate by Granny Z, Uncle Paul, Aunt Phyllis, Jami, Jim, Fay, and all his aunts and uncles. May God bless you all.
