Wanda Mehan Obituary

Mehan, Wanda Lynn STILLWATER Wanda Lynn Mehan, 76 of Castle Drive, died peacefully in the comfort of her home, on Saturday, March 20, 2021, with her loving family at her side. Wanda worked at the N.Y.S. Department of Labor, unemployment division for many years before retiring. A dedicated member of the American Legion Post 490 Ladies Auxiliary, she was also a former grand matron during the annual Stillwater Memorial Day Parade. Wanda was predeceased by her son James Smith; and brothers, Joseph and Virgil Fuller. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, John M. Mehan, whom she married November 9, 1987; her children, Selina Lynn Horton of Liberty Lake, Wash., Kenneth Hanson of Detroit, and Lavell (Valerie) Wynn of Cape Coral, Fla.; her stepchildren, Karen (Michael) Cavotta, Shannon (Bart) Grovengier, and Jason (Janice) Mehan; grandchildren Lucy Billin, Abby Horton, Cody and Christopher Wynn, Kenneth and Lavell Hanson, Zoe, Isabelle and AJ Cavotta, Bart, Brandon and Brody Grovengier and several nieces and nephews. Future memorial services will be held later this spring with inurnment in the Saratoga National Cemetery with the date and time announced at that time. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to American Legion Post 490 Women's Auxiliary, 1 American Legion Rd., Stillwater, NY, 12170 or Community Hospice Foundation, 310 S.
