I have very fond memories of Miss McGregor - my Latin teacher. Later a schoolfriend was told she spoke Latin with a Scottish accent!

Only met Iona McGregor once or twice while out with the Edinburgh Ramblers walking group. I was excited to meet her as I was awarded one of her books 'The Snake and the Olive' as a school prize when I was at primary school. She struck me as a fiercely intelligent woman who would undoubtedly be a treasured friend.
