Sherry was a good and faithful friend who would go with us to Myrtle Beach and who always had an encouraging word. I will truly miss her

Jeffrey and Melissa, you have my deepest condolences on the passing of your dear mother. Sherry was my 8th Grade English teacher in 1967-1968 at Valley View and was one of my all-time favorite teachers. I remember her vivacious personality, which is captured perfectly in the photo that you published with her obituary. I also vividly remember her pride when first Jeffrey and then Melissa were born. Some other former students and I rode out bikes from Germantown to your home in Middletown to see newly arrived Jeffrey shortly after he was born. Sherry and I kept up a correspondence for many years, then our lives moved in different directions. The last time I saw her was maybe five years ago at an outdoor concert at the North Park amphitheater in Springboro. We had a wonderful reunion that night and she shared stories of both of your lives. Mark Heistand, Germantown, Ohio
