Deborah Ellen Hill, a long time resident of New Canaan, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2021 at Saint John Paul II in Danbury, Connecticut. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut on February 23, 1955 to Jeanette and Frederick Hill Sr. Deb graduated from New Canaan High School before attending Marietta College in Ohio. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in English Literature. She was a member of the the Phi Beta Kappa Honorary Society. Her longstanding nickname among the immediate family was "A," based on her continuous high grades. Deb had a long and happy career in marketing with Blair Marketing in NYC, and was a Patron of the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut. In 2014, she married Dave Reinholt, also a graduate of New Canaan High School, as well as, a close friend of her brother's since high school. Dave was a loving and caring husband for Deb, particularly throughout her years with Alzheimer's. Deb was an avid reader who enjoyed fine art, museums, fashion, walking in Waveney Park, cats and anything French. Over the course of her life, Deb personified a genuine sweetness and kindness towards others; she was truly unique, honest, and humble.
Deb is predeceased by her father Frederick Hill Sr., brother Frederick Hill Jr, and nephew Charles Tyler Hill. She is survived by her mother, Jeanette Hill, sister Claire Carter, sister in law Patricia Hill, niece Diane Rinfret (JP), nephew Thomas Carter, niece Maive Howard (JP) and nephew Michael Hill.
A graveside ceremony will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan on July 1, 2021 at 12:30pm, with a reception following at the Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut. Arrangements are in the care of Collins Funeral Home, Norwalk, CT.
