Gail Litherland Obituary

Litherland, Gail TROY Gail Litherland, 81, passed away on August 24, 2021, at Troy Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. Born in Hoosick Falls, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Ingram and Harriet Kipp Ingram. Gail graduated from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1960. She was a dedicated registered nurse, who started her nursing career in labor and delivery and went on to work in several areas. She worked in a dental office, kidney transplant, private duty and ended with private duty nursing. Gail loved knitting, needle crafts and was an avid reader which she passed to her daughter Beth. Gail is survived by her daughter, Beth M. Litherland of Troy; her brother, William Ingram of New Hampshire; and her nephews, David (Sara) Ingram of Maine and Daniel Ingram of New Hampshire. She is also survived by her second family, Lisa (Robert) Williams of Clifton Park and their sons, Ryan, Rhys and Evan Williams. Gail's family would like to thank the staff at Troy Center for the care they provided Gail over the past several years as well as the wonderful nurse practitioners of OPTUM. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Troy at a later date. In remembrance of Gail, her family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter.
