1932 - 2021

Gaylord, Kenneth Napolian MELROSE Kenneth Napolian Gaylord, of Pine Woods Road, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He was 89. Born in Schaghticoke on May 3, 1932, he was the son of the late Raymond and Cecelia (Green) Gaylord. He was the husband of Elizabeth Ruth Brenenstuhl. Ken served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in 1954. He worked as an operating engineer for the DA Collins Company, retiring after 46 years. He enjoyed gardening and arranging the flowers he grew. He was happy being outdoors and took great pride in tending to his lawn. Survivors, in addition to his wife Betty Gaylord whom he married in 1954, include two daughters, Debra Ann Gaylord and Valarie Lynn Della Rocco, both of Melrose; his sisters, Janet Osborne of Schaghticoke and Carol Davenport of Mechanicville; his beloved grandchildren, Alexander Gaylord, Anthony Della Rocco and Michele Della Rocco; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Marie Della Rocco. He was predeceased by his sisters, Barbara Czuwala and Donna Daily; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Osborne and George Davenport. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses from the Community Hospice, especially Marsha and Steve for their compassion and care for Ken and his family.
