Wilkinson Elizabeth Elizabeth Wilkinson
died in her sleep aged 95 years.
She was born in Sheffield and trained as a primary school teacher shortly after the war. She went to Knaresborough in 1949 where she taught for 33 years before retiring in 1982. She was well known in the town having taught many generations of children. She married Derek, a civil servant in 1951. She had very strong associations with Gracious Street Methodist Church where she was a member for 72 years. She helped to found the luncheon club, Lunch Link, which still operates to this day and was a member of the community health council for eight years. In retirement she enjoyed walking in the Yorkshire Dales, caravanning and cruises. She leaves a son, John and three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Remembering a lovely lady, Elizabeth. I helped care for her throughout lockdown . Helping to keep Elizabeth connected with her family in Scotland via Zoom.
I will always remember Elizabeth with a smile. An interesting lady who shared many stories with me over a hot milky drink and a chocolate biscuit.
