Pete was a role model for me as a young engineer. He had an uncanny ability to get to the heart of issues and fix them quickly which was a good fit for his personality. I'm sorry to hear that we lost him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Pete's love of modeling and simulation was inspiring. Much of the research he started has laid the groundwork for our M&S research today.

I owe so much of the success I have had in my career to Pete. In the fall of 2003, Pete agreed to work with me on an auxiliary power project as part of my sabbatical that academic year. This research was not planned and only happened because NASA Glenn closed a research facility that I was planning on using. In hindsight, this was the best part of my sabbatical. With Pete´s help, I was able to expand my research into a whole new area which resulted in my serving 4 years alongside of Pete from ´08 to ´12 as an IPA civil servant. Seven WSU MS thesis students have graduated because of our interactions with additional current MS & PhD students in the program. I can´t overstate how much I appreciate and benefitted from Pete´s guidance over the years. He had a great mind, was a tremendous researcher and a true friend that I miss greatly. He was taken from us WAY too early. My heart goes out to his son´s and their families. I know he was VERY proud of each of you and loved you all dearly. You have been and will continue to be in my prayers. Mitch Wolff
