Jaime Alejandro Garza passed away suddenly in his sleep at his home in Newport Beach, California on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Born and raised in San Antonio, he spent 3 years in his beloved city of New Orleans before calling Southern California home. Growing up as the second of four children, Jaime claimed his family title of "Mr. Invincible" many times over: he ran with the bulls in Pamplona, backflipped off waterfalls in Hawaii, and chased morning swells in the Pacific. There was never a mountain peak too high, an ocean wave too big, a cliff too tall or a vehicle too fast for Jaime to conquer. Jaime lived life to the fullest, all while putting his family first. He wouldn't let a day pass without sharing his love of life with each person he met. After graduating from Tom C. Clark High School, Jaime pursued a bachelor's from UTSA in Communications and Public Relations. In his first career with the New Orleans Saints, his bosses described him as one of the most passionate, dependable, and talented young men that they had worked with. It was during Jaime's time with the NFL, that he decided he wanted to be on the other side of the "big table' and set his sights on Whittier Law School in Orange County, California. Upon law school graduation Jaime's entrepreneurial spirit drove him into the industrial hemp business, enabling him to make new business connections up and down the Pacific coast. Then 2020 came, which was a difficult year for many businesses, including Jaime's. Never one to sit idle, Jaime obtained a master's in law degree in Cyber and Privacy Law from the University of Southern California's Gould School of Law to establish the next phase of his law and business career. And sure enough, before his family and friends had time to blink, he started Daylight Industries, a cyber security consulting business. Jaime achieved his dream of being an entrepreneur and 2022 was his for the taking.
It's been said by many, that Jaime lived more in his short 34 years than most men live in a lifetime. Jaime taught himself to surf and spent most mornings in the California waves. He spent eight weeks in Barcelona where he enjoyed entertaining his peers, making new friends, and teaching them all to cook. Jaime's friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, and siblings describe his captivating smile as never having met a stranger. Jaime made people feel that it was because of them that he was who he was. As he grew into his adulthood, Jaime took many he met under his wing. A younger housemate of his said that Jaime had changed his life. Jaime taught him how to dress, groom, carry confidence, and work hard. And no matter what, practice patience and tolerance with others just as he taught his brothers. These wise lessons he carried to his family in these past few years. His father said that Jaime had begun to help him be a better man. The student had become the teacher and he made his parents proud. Jaime was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Jaime H. Garza, and Mervin L. Trail. He is survived by his grandmothers Graciela S. Garza, Edythe W. Trail, his parents Jaime and Lisa Garza, his sister Sevilla, brother-in-law Chad, his brothers Carlo and Cristian, his nephew Mateo, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. We will all carry a piece of Jaime within our hearts in remembrance. We will miss Jaime every day.
MEMORIAL SERVICESServices will be held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Monday, January 17th with a vigil beginning at 7:00pm. A celebration of life Mass at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton will be offered on Tuesday, January 18th at 11:00am, followed immediately by a reception in the church hall. The family asks everyone to consider wearing a mask at the vigil and Mass in an effort to keep our most vulnerable loved ones safe.

Jaime and Lisa, it hasn't been long that I heard of Jaime's passing. When I first heard a Jaime Garza passed, never did I think it would have been your beautiful, loving, and wonderful son.
It wasn't until I asked one of Jaime's and my sons mutual friend who confirmed it was not his father or grandfather.
Many wonderful memories came to mind of Jaime as a young child and teenager. He was a charming young man, with a kind and respectful disposition.
I am so sorry for your loss. I hope the Good Lord has guided you through your grief, and continues to grant you peace of mind.
Prayers and Love,
May God Bless you and all of Jaime's loved ones.

Jaime
I was just telling my children about playing on the street we both grew up on. And reminiscing about all the neighborhood children I made so many memories with. I made a quick Google search and am so so sad to learn about your untimely death. Your parents and siblings were always so gracious to me. Even though its been over 20 years I still remember your smile and your sweet nature. My condolences to your family. I'm sure and know there is a huge gaping hole in everyones hearts and home.

I would also like to add that everytime I spoke w Jaime he would mention his nephew. He loved him so much and would send me videos often each time they were together. I was fortunate to speak to him a month before he passed and he said he wasn’t feeling too good and that his heart was bothering him. I told him to just breathe and relax and take it easy. I meant to see him your last family trip to Colorado winter 2020/2021.
I feel Jaime’s spirit and again just want to thank you for bringing such a phenomenal human to this world to give as much love to the ones he did. Grateful I knew him and got to feel his support and love.

I just found out about Jaime and I needed to write you all to tell you what a wonderful person and friend and business man he was the time I knew him.
He would often send me videos of the ocean and videos of him with his nephew.
We had a great friendship and I am just extending my condolences and love and appreciation for Jaime this life. His soul is powerful and felt very presently. Thank you to his mom and dad for creating him.
You will be thought of often and missed until we meet next time.

Dear Garza Family - I am devastated to hear of Jaime's passing. We had so much fun growing up together from swim team and tennis in Whispering Oaks to prom dates at Clark HS. He was certainly one of a kind and lived his life to the fullest. Dr. Garza, Mrs. Garza, Sevilla, Carlo and Cristian - you are all in my prayers each night, as is Jaime. While his memory will no doubt live on, this world is just a little less bright without him. You have my deepest condolences.

My deepest condolences to the Garza family. I met Jaime in our first year of law school and we regularly surfed together, and often went to class a little wet from surfing before classes. He was my surfing buddy through law school. His positivity was infectious and he always made sure people were taken care of. I'll miss trading surfing stories with him, trying to get him out to Hawaii to surf, and dreaming of our perfect surf breaks. Jaime - I'll miss you braddah!

Jaime,
I might have never told you this in person, but I always admired you. You were special in so many ways I don’t even know where to start. Your positive nature was something unique! I never met someone quite like you, someone who never seemed to have a bad day in his life, and it was because you never let negative situations bring you down. Everyday you always had a smile on your face that could light up a room and you were just so personable. You were able to interact with anybody and make friends with people you just met. You made others around you feel special and that’s what made you special. I feel blessed to have grown up with you, and even though I haven’t seen you in so long, you always felt like family.
I know your father and mother are so proud of the man you became. I know Sevilla, Carlo, and Cristian miss you deeply. Continue to watch over them from Heaven!
God Bless you and your beautiful family!
