Frawley John Lynch

Frawley Lynch passed away on January 28, 2022. Frawley was born 2/06, 1950 in San Francisco to Madeline Frawley and John Lynch. Frawley is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Sylvia Alvarez Lynch, his sister Stephanie Lynch, nephew Sean Stout, Peter Alvarez, brother-in-law, a family of cousins that adored him, and many friends that he enjoyed talking with during the last two years.

Frawley was a Maintenance Machinist and worked for over 25 years with the San Francisco Water Department. He also served as the organizer for holiday luncheons and provided wonderful buffets for his follow workers. Frawley developed his culinary skills and provided extended family wonderful meals for any occasion, including a pig roasts in his backyard. Frawley retired in 2008 and continued to enjoy working on metal projects for family and friends in addition to helping out his friends and neighbors.

Frawley and Sylvia met in 1982 and married in 1987. Frawley and Sylvia enjoyed the friendship of their neighbors and became politically active in various communities.

He was a protector of animals and provided food and medical assistance to cats and other animals in need of attention in his neighborhood. Frawley had a heart of gold and a sense of justice. Frawley had a genuineness that drew people to him and he was always there for friend or family members in need. If you were a friend of Frawley's, you were a friend forever.

Services will be held at Holy Angels Church 107 San Pedro Road, Colma, CA on February 15, 2022 at 10:30 am. A Memorial reception will follow at Elks Lodge, 920 Southgate Drive, So. San Francisco. Please RSVP promptly if you plan to attend the reception, (916-704-3807) no later than February 11th.

I remember John from work and the retirees lunches that we had at different places, and I was always amazed at the concern that John had in regard to the welfare of all the retired City workers and keeping us up to date about what was going on for them. May he rest in Peace now in God's hands.

Frawley and I were good buddies when we were kids at St Cecilia's. His Mom was a sweet lady.
Frawley had a real good heart. Whenever I would run into him in later years we always had a great visit. Sylvia, accept my sincere condolences. Rest in peace, Frawley.
