I will always remember Professor Fischer. As Chinese international students arriving in the United States, we received tremendous support from him. He not only guided us academically, but also cared deeply about our daily lives. He would drive us to the grocery store on weekends and made sure we were adjusting well to a new country.
He was the very first American many of us truly came to know. Every year, he warmly invited our group of SHNU students to spend Christmas at his home, making us feel welcomed and included during a time that could otherwise feel lonely.
We will never forget the kindness, respect, generosity, and warmth he showed us. I am truly grateful for everything he did. On behalf of the SHNU student community, we will always cherish his memory.

Jim was a dear friend for over 50 years, starting as a coworker and mentor at WPAFB. I fondly remember the parties at Jim and Ginny´s, playing bumper pool there, and our TDYs in LA. Jim was a great writer, who basically rewrote my Masters thesis. Deb and I will miss Jim as a very special friend.

Ginny and Jim were always so kind to our family! And we are so grateful we were able to spend time with Jim in Florida during the last several winters. He was kind and intelligent to the end. We were so lucky to have seen him about 10 days before he died.
We so want to keep in contact with all of you in the future....our parents would be so pleased!
