I'm so sorry I didn't try to connect sooner. Now you've left this earth and I'll never get the chance to meet up with you in Springfield. You may not even remember me it's been so long. We used to sled down the hill from Mrs. Schaffer's yard into yours. I chipped my front tooth playing Chinese jump rope on your carport. My brother played drums with Curt in their band. We rode around in your mom's old black bug. I drove past your Mom's old place when I showed my son where I used to live at 615 Piney Branch Dr. I didn't stop because it was the middle of the afternoon and it didn't look like anybody was home and I didn't even know if you lived there. Now I wish I'd made the effort to check. I'm sorry, my friend. I'm so sorry that I never got to tell you that I thought of you often. Never got to laugh with you one more time. Rest in Peace, sweet friend. I'll see you when I make it to Heaven.
