Gerry was an inspiration and such a positive influence in the world. His death leaves a void. He was an individual who left the world better than he found it.

So sorry to hear about Jerry´s demise. He was a fraternity brother at Brooklyn Polytechnic and a fellow student in earning our PhDs at Stanford University. I want to share condolences to Lorraine and the rest of his family. May he RIP.

I worked with Gerry at NL Industries back in the 70s. Gerry Kotler was forward-thinking developer of die-casting technology.
He also taught me history of Israel, lent me a splendid on Masada (by Yigael Yadin). He also left a very possitive mark on my career. Very sorry to hear of his passing.

I'm so sad to hear this.
Jerry was an exciting, inquisitive person with a real thirst for learning. He loved to debate and discuss, but never was ashamed to change his thinking when he came to understand a different approach. He was fun to teach and to be around and he had a great sense of humor. We bonded during the four years in which he came to my classes at Gary Greene's office in the 111 building in Dayton. We haven't been in touch much since I left Dayton but I'll remember him with respect and affection. He was unique in many ways.
May his neshama have an aliyah.
