Joanna (Piccinino) Ahmad, age 65, of Bridgeport, born on July 30, 1956 to the late Marie (Paulin) Piccinino and Joseph Piccinino, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Joanna grew up in Bridgeport, living in Seaside Village where she stayed to raise her family. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Class of 1974, and Butler Business School.
Joanna worked in the Planning and Marketing Department at Bridgeport Hospital and was a devoted employee for 46 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Joanna had the gift of gab, loved to dance, and go to concerts. Joanna was a member of the St. Ann Church's choir for many years and had an angelic voice. The newest love of her life was her granddaughter, Camila, who brought her so much joy. Joanna and Akram were married for almost 36 years and Akram was her primary caregiver when she became sick. Their marriage was a true testament of love and devotion.
Survived and celebrated by her husband, Akram; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Eric Coldiron; her son, Joseph Ahmad; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Elaine Piccinino; her nephew and godson, Raymond Piccinino; her great-nephew, Raymond Piccinino; her granddaughter, Camila Marie Coldiron and many other special relatives and friends. Joanna was predeceased by her niece, Krystle Piccinino.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Ann's Church,481 Brewster Street, Bridgeport, with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment will be in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
