Leslie B. Bellamy, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend peacefully passed away on March 2, 2022 surrounded by family.
She was born on January 22, 1953 in LatYao, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. The daughter of Yip Hongthong and Nang Omsin.
Survived by her husband Darrell, daughter Kaia Woods and husband Warren and the love of her life granddaughter Lilou. Her parents, sisters and brothers, and extended family reside in Thailand.
It was at McGuire AFB, NJ that Leslie met the love of her life Darrell Bellamy. Their love blossomed into 44 years of marriage.
They married on January 20, 1978 in Mt. Holly, NJ. At this time she proudly took on the role of being a devoted and supportive military wife. Leslie and Darrell's 26 year military career took them across the United States and overseas. During this time she worked at numerous positions including sales associate, bank teller, and travel agent. Lek was also passionate about volunteering as an American Red Cross instructor and a receptionist at various AFB agencies. She spent much of her spare time with sewing, ceramics, and crocheting. Lek was an avid bingo player and supporter of the San Antonio Spurs.
Leslie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her sincere interest in everyone she met and her love for travel and adventure. The world is a smaller and definitely much quieter place without her.
Leslie's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to her friends and the Wat Saddhadhamma. Also to the Schertz Funeral Home for their kindness and support.
