John Mocker Obituary

John Mocker Jr.
John Mocker Jr. of Stamford, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 10, 2022, at the age of 85. He was born in Darien, CT. His parents were John and Susan Mocker. He attended Darien Schools and graduated from Darien High School. He played multiple sports including, baseball and basketball.
John worked for MarLe Co. as an electrical distributor for three decades. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Benedict's Parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing and watching all kinds of sports. He was a Giants Fan and Season Ticket holder since the 1960s. He was also a Red Sox fan from the days of Ted Williams.
John was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy Ferris Mocker, in 1993. He is survived by his two devoted sons, John L Mocker III, his wife Maureen, and their children, Colleen and Jack, and Michael J. Mocker, his ex-wife Claire and their children, Haley and Matthew.
He was always proud of his grandchildren's accomplishments and attended many a game, recitals, and shows. John also had a large extended family including brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed the time he spent with them, especially camping. He was close with his NJ relatives, especially his cousin, Pat. He always loved a good joke and enjoyed ribbing his friends and relations. He was a kind and gentle man who will be dearly missed.
The family welcomes relatives and friends for a Wake on Tuesday, June 14th from 4 pm to 8 pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue in Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, June 15th at St Benedict, Our Lady of Montserrat Parish, 1 St. Benedict Circle, in Stamford. His Interment is to follow at St. John Cemetery in Darien, CT.

Oh my I just found out that John passed. My Dad (Fred Nichols) and John were first cousins. I am Anna Marie Nichols and my Dad always took my sister (Diane) and I to visit with John and what I called her Aunt Dot. My sincere condolence to his family. I am so sorry that I just found this out.
