George HIMES Obituary
Age 91, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away June 12, 2022. George worked at Wright-Patterson for many years after
being discharged from the Navy. He and his loving wife,
Shirley, built a comfortable life for them and their three daughters to grow up in the community. He will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held 11AM, Friday, June 17 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, CENTERVILLE, with a Funeral Service to follow at noon. For full obituary please visit

I know this is late but I didn´t realize that Mr.Himes has passed. I was a neighbor kid that knew him as a man that did woodworking in his garage.They were always a very kind family. I remember Mr Himes showing me his kitchen cabinets he built out of skids and and I was blown away. I asked him to help me build a cradle for my older sisters first born and he was happy to accommodate. I remember Mrs Himes setting time limits every night in the end we built a cradle that generations will use. I am very grateful for his family and how they reached out to our family.
