Rodriquez, Stephen Miguel SCHENECTADY It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen M. Rodriquez at the age of 37, on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Stephen was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy (C.B.A.) and Liberty University. Stephen worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years. He was a loyal Miami Dolphins fan, loved cars and building things with his son. Stephen was predeceased by his father, Ricardo Rodriquez and mother, Ernestine Nicholson (Rhodes); grandfather, Jose Rodriquez; and grandpa, George Nicholson Jr. Stephen leaves behind his loving children, Aiden, Alex and Jaida Newton (Megan), Ashur (Rebecca) and Adrian (Christina). Stephen is survived by his siblings, Nicholsons, Darrell (Christina), Adriennie (Ricardo), Tracy, Kevin, Toni and Jamie Rodriquez. He is also survived by his grandmother, Virginia Rodriquez; his beloved aunt, Mercedes Rodriquez and uncle Roberto Rodriquez; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including his best friends, Rohan, Marc, Mike, Kyle, Sean, and dear friend Raven. Stephen loved his four sons and his partner, Christina Brown; her parents, Robert and Marcy Brown; and her sister, Rachael. Stephen also had a profound connection and love for his mom, Ernestine Nicholson, and is in heaven with her now. He was an extraordinary, intelligent, and awesome soul, good friend, and a source of love with a wealth of caring. Stephen, you will be in our hearts forever and always - the Nicholson and Rodriquez families. Calling hours will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 7, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations for his children during this difficult time.
