Susan J. Dame

Dame, Susan J. MECHANICVILLE Susan J. Dame, 72, passed away on August 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at Albany Memorial Hospital. Susan was born in Troy to the late Charles Castle and Doris Kruger Castle. Susan attended Lansingburgh High School, Hudson Valley Community College, and Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing. She took pride in being a registered nurse and registered nurse investigator for the N.Y.S. Department of Health. She loved spending her time watching the Weather Channel or Impractical Jokers, drinking a good glass of wine at night, working in the garden, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Susan is survived by her loving children, Valerie (Brad) Holbrook, Darren (Manu) Dame, Todd Dame, and Timothy (Jodi) Dame; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Doris. Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, August 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, 8 109th St., Troy. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home. Private burial will take place in the Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
