Betty MASSIE Obituary
Betty C. Massie, 88, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and formerly of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres. She was born in Ohio on October 10, 1934. Betty graduated from Kiser High School in 1952. She owned and operated Bette Massie Salon in Centerville, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Jewel Robinson; her brother, Noble Robinson; and two sisters, Wilma Theriault and Eileen Gibson. Betty is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (David) Longacre; her granddaughter, Sara (Jason Thompson) Longacre; her brother, Harold (Joyce) Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. A memorial service in Ohio is pending for the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name would be appreciated to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.

I´ve just learned of Betty´s passing.
As a little girl I was Betty´s neighbor. I think she sensed that I needed someone to care about me. She invited me to her house, did my hair and took me shopping. I think Rhonda was involved too.
She was a special caring person.

I sooo loved Bette. She rented an extra room, in her condo, to me. We became such great friends. We laughed, we cried, we had so much fun together. Better was a natural comedian. One time, we went to Fridays after work (in Dayton) and sat at the bar. The place was packed. Bette pulls out her toy Kazoo and started entertaining everyone near us. By the time we left, we had a crowd of about 10 new friends hanging out with us, laughing and just having a good time. She was a very special lady
She would never tell me her age, but age didn't matter between friends. God, I loved this lady!

I modeled with Betty in Dayton at Rikes and Glamour. I moved from Dayton 40 years ago but still remember what a beautiful woman she was and how much poise and grace she had.

Rhonda, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. What a beautiful, sweet lady she was! I have many wonderful memories of her when we were little. May she rest in peace.
