Barbara L. Eastman

Eastman, Barbara L. CASTLETON Barbara L. Eastman, 86 of Castleton, passed away at home on November 3, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born in Holyoke Mass. to the late Alfred and Leona (Quesnel) Renauld. Barbara was an Honors Society graduate of Holyoke High School and went on to become the senior auditor for the N.Y.S. Department of Audit and Control, eventually retiring in 1997. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Nassau and was a member of the South Schodack Fire Department. Barbara enjoyed creating ceramic pieces and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished her trips to vacation in Florida, daily rides in the country and traveling to Boston to attend games at Fenway Park. She is survived by her loving husband, Stuart Eastman of Castleton; son, Paul S. Eastman; daughter, Linda G. Amedio (Tom); brother, James Renauld; grandchildren, Jessica Amedio and Christopher A. Amedio; great-granddaughter, Evelyn E. Amedio; and several nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond and Alfred Z. Renauld. Relatives and friends are invited to Barbara's funeral Mass on Monday, November 7, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 26 Church St. Nassau. Interment of cremains will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Nassau. A gathering of family and friends will follow her interment at the South Schodack Fire Hall, 1567 Bame Road, Castleton.
