As a first-time homeowner in 1993, John was gracious and patient in walking me through the process. I will be forever grateful to him for changing my life. He truly was a diamond in the rough of this world.

John was a good man who enlightened the lives of all around him. We first met in the early 1980s, and I feel lucky to have known him for the next three decades or so. He cared deeply about Bridgeport and did so much for the community. John was a class act, both as a person and a public figure. He will be missed by many. My thoughts are with Emily and other family members.
