Audelia Camero Obituary

Ms. Audelia (Delia) Casas Camero peacefully passed into the loving arms of her Savior on November 12, 2022, at the age of 92 years. She was a lifelong resident of San Antonio and served her church and community through her volunteer work.
Ms. Camero is survived by grandson James Gill and his wife Tiffany Gill, Sister-in-law Sylvia Garcia, best friend of 60 years Sylvia Hernandez, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward Camero, daughter Rose Marie Gill, grandson Stephen Gill, 3 sisters (Mary, Dora, and Carmen) and 3 brothers (Victor, Arturo, and Norbert).
As a parishioner of St. Henry's Catholic Church, Delia served in the Guadalupanas and the St. Henry's Prayer Group. She was a member of the Collins Gardens Neighborhood Association and performed volunteer work in nursing homes.


One of Delia's favorite memories was being selected as the Royal Palace Ballroom Queen in 2009. Her love of dancing and music was one of her hobbies. Other hobbies included playing Bingo, bowling, growing plants, and cheering for the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys.

To the Camero/Casas family,

I am so sorry to hear of Delia's passing. My deepest condolences to her friends and family. Delia was a loving and happy person! I remember the days of bowling in the same league where we had many good times. She will be missed. May she rest in peace!
