Nikki CHERRY Obituary
65, of Springfield, passed away on November 25, 2022. She was born in Springfield on June 7, 1957, the daughter of H. Kenneth and Jeanne I. (Spears) Cherry. Nikki loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandson and enjoyed summers in her pool. She retired from Clark County Job & Family Services in 2017 as a Case Manager. Survivors include her daughter, Lindsay (Jeremy) Buening; grandson, Hayden Cherry and a brother, Stephen (Debra) Cherry. In addition to her parents, Nikki was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Cherry. At Nikki's request, no formal services will be held at this time. We grew up in the same neighborhood. Although Nikki was 2 1/2 years older than me she didn´t treat me like some little kid. The thing I remember most was her infectious smile! She was always so bubbly and friendly. I got my first pet from the litter of kittens her cat had. My condolences to her family and all who knew and loved her.

Lindsay and family,
I was a coworker of Nikki´s for many years. She was so proud of you! She always shared your many accomplishments. Being a mom was a pleasure to her. I love the picture you chose of her! That smile was contagious. Your mom was a hard worker and a friend to many. The news of her passing is heartbreaking. Hugs to you and your family! She will be missed!

I lived on Rogers Dr, and Nikki and I attended grade school together, and I remember spending a lot of time together down on Buck Creek. We remained life long friends, and the past few years our group of high school friends would get together for drinks and dinner. I have so many fond and fun memories, and I will miss my friend dearly. She loved her family so much, and she will live on in our hearts forever. I am sending my deepest sympathy to the family, and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
