Gina Pettigrew, cardiac rehab

December 13, 2022

I met Bill many years ago when Karen became one of my cardiac rehab patients. We all became good friends through the years. Karen was instrumental in welcoming everyone to rehab, raising money for AHA and anything else we needed. Bill was actually funding all of her work. Later over the past year or 2 Bill became my patient as well. He worked so hard to get better but always missed Karen so much. I will miss him just like I miss Karen but I know he is happy and at peace and back with his true soul mate. My sympathies and prayers for all of your family. I truly felt like Bill and Karen were family.

One of the nicest, kindest most sincere men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. A tragic loss for your family and for those of us that knew Bill. RIP my friend.

I worked with Bill in the late 70’s through the 80’s at Oil Field Rental/Enterra before transferring and working on international assignment the remainder of my career. When I joined Oil Field Rental from a competitor, I was concerned of being accepted as an outsider by executive management including Bill who had been there for many years. But Bill did not hesitate and welcomed me with open arms and provided valuable guidance through the years. We became friends and created memories I cherish to this day. Especially, those during all the hours around campfires on dove and deer hunts in South Texas with Bill, Cuz and Junior Robinson with a Miller Lite in hand listening to their tall tales and times spent cooking at industry golf tournaments. With Bill’s sense of humor and storytelling abilities there never was a dull moment. Those were the days!

My sincere condolences to the Family in the loss of your loved one and may God Bless Bill’s soul.

He was a good man who saw something in me I didn´t see in myself in my young adulthood and was a Godsend that gave me direction to take a different path in life than where I was headed. I wish I could have stayed in touch but I have never been good at that even with my closest relatives. I´m sure he touched more lives everywhere he went than anyone will ever know. I´m 43 now and will never forget his kindness and the love he showed to a girl broken down by life at the time.

Bill hunted on our place at Hext, Texas for the 16 years we owned it. We looked forward to hunting season each year just to spend time with Bill and the rest of the guys. More than just with the hunting group, he became our dear friend. We never heard him utter an unkind word and he was so very proud of his wife and family. Please know that our hearts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. We were very, very blessed to have known him. God bless you all...

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Bill for several years and always found him to be a gentleman. He never had a disparaging word for anyone and was always willing to help.
