Kenneth Davis Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of Kenneth Jay Davis. He entered the arms of our loving Savior on January 22th at the age of 77.

Jay, as he was known to all, was born on April 26, 1945 in Amarillo, Texas, but lived in San Antonio since 1946. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1963 and went on to earn a BA degree from Texas A&I Kingsville in 1969 where he was president of the first chapter of Alpha Tau Omega at A&I.

Jay was president and owner of Towne Services Moving and Storage for 40 years and co-owner, with his wife Bettye, of Point to Point Travel for 15 years.
Jay loved the outdoors growing up hunting and fishing and continuing that thru retirement where he loved fly-fishing at their home in the Bahamas. Jay and Bettye were blessed to have travelled the world together.

Jay is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and "Shug" Davis and nephew, Jon Deborah.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Bettye (Juhlin) Davis, faithful dog, Cuatro, sister Jan Talley (Keith), nephew Jimmy Deborah (Barbie), great niece and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held February 1st 4-8PM at Sunset Funeral Home located at 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78218, with funeral services on February 2nd at 10AM at AHUMC Garden Chapel located at 825 E. Basse Rd, San Antonio, Texas78209, with a private burial to follow in Medina, Texas.
