Paul's positivity and words of wisdom made him an inspiration among our ALS family. My dad's first meeting was scary and upsetting but meeting Paul was like a breath of fresh air. He looked my dad in the eye and told him not to let this disease define him, to get out and live his life, do the things that he wanted to do. So that's what my dad's trying to do. I thank Paul from the bottom of my heart and I'm praying for you all.

I was lucky enough to meet Paul about 12 years ago through family. Although we only spent time together on a few occasions, I have so many treasured memories of this amazing and kind person.

Paul was a super guy - boundless enthusiasm, positive about everything and always quick with a laugh. I never heard him complain about anything, even after his health got bad. He and Barb worked so hard over the years, catering and later with his food truck. He was just such an amazing chef - he taught us our favorite kitchen hacks and shared amazing recipes (his chimichurri sauce would make any shoe taste great!). For years, we would make an annual trip to Keeneland and Chef Paul would create the most amazing tailgate lunches. The aroma from his grill would draw people around, and drive them crazy! He was a huge fan of the Bengals, including times when it was not so easy to be a fan. It is so great he got to see them get good again. I am really going to miss him.

Paul moved to Miamisburg when we were at Mound Grade School. My brother Dwight and Paul became friends from the first day they met. Paul was like a brother he spent so much time at our home. It is a sad time and I send prayers to all of his family!

It was so awesome watching Pop Pop and Sarah go on that Bengals journey together! He was our good luck charm for sure and I loved watching his face light up thru it all! The dancing, the fans and of course all the money they raised for ALS! Just simply amazing! He will be greatly missed but remembered as a Hero!
