I met Dick in 1972 through other friends who were like-minded in our hobbies as well as sporting and collecting interests.
That being said, Dick was one of my oldest friends. We went to various venues and places together, stopping at some of the most out-of-the-way places to eat on our way to our destinations.
My childern grew up knowing Dick as "J.C. Pennay," due to his penchant for shopping at only high end stores for those $19.50 men's suits.
Yes, he always had a joke for me when we would end a conversation over the phone as well as one for my wife that was more appropriate.
Dick and I worked together on his get-away place near Phillipsburg also in cutting and moving a downed tree or two to help others.
I enjoyed his stories of adventures on his motorcycle across the USA. Or was he just lost and refused to turn around?
Once Dick owed me a penny and in giving it back to me he held on so tight that was how we ended up inventing copper wire!
I hope to meet Dick again in the afterlife along with the numerous friends and acquaintances we shared and lost together in life.

Dick will be missed dearly by so many faminy and friends. I will miss all the crazy jokes that just rolled off his tongue so quickly. Your pain is gone and you now have your wings. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
