Guzman (Rawers), Katherine Rose "Katie"

Katherine Rawers Guzman flew to her permanent home in Heaven on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Kettering, OH was Katie's forever home. In addition to being a graduate of Alter High School, UD, WSU and University of Cincinnati, she loved Girl Scouts, the Natural History Museum, dancing, arts and crafts, and all of Gods' creatures. Fond memories include getting chased by a buffalo in Yellowstone National Park, hunting shells in Florida, catching a snapping turtle at Indian Lake and taking care of a starfish in Acadia National Park. She was a gifted Social Worker who listened carefully to the stories of the less fortunate and assisted all with their needs. She was the best cheerleader possible for her beloved daughters, Camille R. Rawers of Phoenix, AZ and Isabel R. Guzman. Additional close family members include her parents, Tom and Rosalind Rawers, brother, Michael A. Rawers of Bonita Springs, FL, sister, Christine R. Rawers and Oscar Guzman, father of Isabel. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10:30am in the Gathering Space at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave, Kettering, OH 45429 to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Drive, Dayton, OH 45409. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Albert The Great School, 104 W Dorothy Lane, Kettering, OH 45429, or a charity of your choice. She will be dearly missed by all.
