Kevin Fred Obituary
a beloved member of the Kettering community, passed away at the age of 63 on November 9, 2023. A visitation will take place from 4-6pm on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429 with a memorial service to be held following at 6pm. For those unable to attend in person a livestream will be available via Routsong's YouTube channel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AMVETS at https://www.amvets.org/. For full obituary please visit www.routsong.com.

I met Kevin last year while we were both attending the VA. We became friends almost immediately, I spent the summer in a residential treatment program at the VA, Kevin texted me regularly to check on howI was doing and also gave me an incredible book to read before I checked in. He was an Air Force vet and I'm an army vet. Selfless service and loyalty are 2 of the Army values and Kevin showed my what true loyalty and selfless service looks like. We talked regularly while i was in residential treatment showing that Kevin cared for others even at the most difficult times to do so. He was extremely intelligent, I feel that i am smarter just by knowing him. As a fellow Kettering resident, I will speak for the whole community when I say, we lost an incredible Human being in Kevin. I feel truly blessed that I had the opportunity to know him even if it was for only a short time. Take a knee brother, I'll see you at the final rally point.

Oreo and Jack...great memories of time spent with Kevin and our dogs. I am heartbroken to learn of your passing. Rest in peace Kevin. Prayers to your sons that they find comfort in knowing how much you loved them and the memories you shared.
