Barbara S. Gossett

1938 - 2023

Barbara S. Gossett, 85, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023 at Methodist Healthcare Hospice after a long illness.

She was born August 23, 1938. Barbara was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Olive Branch. She sang in the choir and was active in the church as long as long as she was able to attend.

Barbara worked for Union Planters Bank as a secretary to the manager of the department. She was secretary to the president of Allen & Ohama until Mr. Allen retired. Barbara transferred to the legal department and worked for law firms as a legal secretary until she retired.

Mrs. Gossett is survived by her husband Harold Gossett, sister-in-law Gayle Gossett, niece Sonya Gossett Kelly, nephew Marvin Gossett, sister, Dorothy Shelton, niece Gill Morris. She was preceded in death by her son Patrick Gossett, a brother-in-law George Gossett, and brother, William (Billy) Shelton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 7, from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
