Leo Hall Obituary
On Sunday, February 25, 2024, the Lord called Leo Aeolus Hall home to rest. Leo was an only child born on November 6, 1939 in Los Angeles California to Aeolus Hall and Helen Glover Hall. He was a widower to his first love Helen McNamee Hall who was the mother of three of his four children.
Leo was a very friendly, lively and charismatic person who enjoyed life and cared deeply for his friends and family. He was also very strong minded and imparted wisdom to those around him. He was a Navy veteran and was honorably discharged with a good conduct medal from serving on the USS Belle Grove on February 14, 1962. He met his first love, Helen McNamee in Los Angeles where he accepted her two children (Ricky and Robin Watson) from a previous marriage and loved and honored them as his own. He fathered his youngest son Mark Hall Sr. with Deivey Mitchell and eventually bore is youngest daughter Kimberly Hall (Banks) with Helen McNamee. He encouraged his children to work hard and inspired them to be successful.
Leo worked for Transcon Trucking for the majority of his adult life and was a leader in the Teamsters Union. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to purchase a local eatery naming it L&L Burger's. His burger business was a highly visited and cherished facility in his community.
Leo lived in Apple Valley, California for a number of years before being transplanted to Memphis, TN to be near his children. He was able to enjoy his family and participate in holiday celebrations until his health deteriorated to the point where he required assistance for daily activities. He was regularly visited by his son Mark and his daughter Kim and other family members during his residency at Allenbrooke Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Both Mark and Kim spent time with their dad on the day of his passing, partaking in final hugs and kisses before he fell asleep for his final rest. He will be missed and remembered thoughtfully.
