Joanne Church Obituary

Joanne (Roberts) Church, 53, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2024.

Joanne was born on September 5, 1970, in Memphis, TN to Richard Roberts and Pamela White, but made her home in Olive Branch, MS with her husband Trae Church.

She was preceded in death by her bonus father, Lee Tharon White and bonus mom, Elizabeth Ann Roberts.

She is survived by her father, Richard Joseph Roberts; mother, Pamela Jane White; husband, Trae Church; son, Joshua Church (Taylor, wife); daughter, Brianna Wiseman (Bradley, husband); grandchildren: Parker Wiseman, Dani Wiseman, and Noah Church; sisters: Wendy Callahan (Brandon, husband); and Carrie Sanders (Jamie, wife) brother: George Young, Jr. (Kristie, Wife) and 16 nieces and nephews; and 16 great nieces and nephews.

Joanne loved the Lord, her family, and her friends. She was a ride-or-die music event goer, a Halloween junkie, a die-hard Ole Miss Rebel and Memphis Tigers fan, and an eventful traveler. She loved to spoil her grandkids, she was a huge fan of the artist "Prince", and she loved to support local musicians from Memphis, TN. She had the "We are Memphis" blood in her. She enjoyed Beale Street Music Festival, Overton Park, and more, but most importantly, she loved her spouse, children, grandchildren, and family with all her heart – and she loved them fiercely! Joanne's work life consisted of employment at Guy's Formalwear, Marsh and McLennan, and Williams Sonoma, Inc. She enjoyed each working relationship at these companies; however, her life was dedicated to her husband, children, and grandchildren whom she devoted herself to and made sure they were a priority. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Her visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS for all that knew and loved her. Her memorial service will follow from 2:00-3:00 PM. She would want you to come and celebrate her life. She would tell you: "Do not cry because it is over; smile because it happened!" When a life has been lived completely honestly, completely successfully, or just completely, the correct response to her death would be smile and celebrate. A catered reception will follow her memorial service at Brantley Funeral Home.
