Charlie was like a brother to me and Karen a sister. We had many adventures, boating on Lake Cumberland, scuba diving in Cozumel, Tobago and St Martin. In '93, in our forties, we all did a crazy thing and quit our jobs and moved to Florida with no prospect of employment there. It was great fun, living the Florida life style. We hung out together almost everyday for almost 3 years. Eventually we had to get jobs.
Charlie was always there for me with a helping hand. Once, while I was doing dishes, my under mount kitchen sink broke away from the counter. He and Karen immediately came over, used a car jack to support the sink and keep it from breaking pipes and he reattached it. He was like MacGyver. In 2021, when I sold my house and had no place to live, he graciously let me and Pat live with him until we could buy a new home.
I will always cherish our sunsets on Bonita Beach during the years when Kare was sick and the four of us drank wine, talked and laughed til late night.
Through good times and bad, laughing and crying, Charlie was a huge part of my life. I will hold him in my heart right beside Karen forever.
I am truly sorry that I will not be able to attend his celebration of life. He will be missed greatly. My heartfelt sympathy goes to Joyce, Melissa, Sheila and the rest of the family.
Terms of endearment, He was Buddy or Charlie to most of us, but to Joyce his name was "Baby Brother"

Buddy Sutton was very special person to Bev and me.
I met Buddy racing motocross 1971 and his best friend
and business partner Ron Ashley. We all raced together
for many years. Bev and I became good friends with Buddy, Karen,
and Ron, Deana.
We spent many great times boating, fishing
and skiing on Lake Cumberland,
on Buddy & Karen and Ron´s houseboats.
Buddy will be missed. I will miss calling him talking about
The latest motocross racing on TV and the riders from U.S. &
Europe and motorcycle´s stuff in general.
And of course, the good old days.
