Joanne J. Diemand

Northampton, MA - Joanne J. (Laguori) Diemand, 70, of Lovefield Street passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 14, 2024. Joanne was born in Northampton August 19, 1953, the daughter of Joseph and Virginia (Benoit) Laguori. She was raised in Northampton and attended local schools, graduating from Northampton High School. Joanne worked as a housekeeper for many years, beginning her career at the former Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she worked for 21 years. Later, she worked at the Rockridge Retirement Community for five years until her retirement in 2020. Joanne was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed cooking and collecting new recipes she wanted to try. She also enjoyed going camping with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren whom she loved. Joanne was sadly predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Virginia Laguori. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Raymond (Bud) Diemand, her son Jason Diemand and his wife Heidi of Millville, NJ, her daughters; Crystal Diemand and her partner Mike of Greensboro, NC, and Heather Diemand of Easthampton, two sister-in-laws; Sheila Shelkey and Jackie O'Neil, four brothers-in-law David Diemand, Daniel Diemand, Dennis Diemand, and Jeff Diemand, and four grandchildren Jada, Adam, Olivia and Emmett. All services for Joanne will be private. She will be buried at the convenience of the family. Donations in Joanne's memory may be made to Cooley Dickinson VNA and Hospice, 30 Locust Street, Northampton MA 01060

Mommy I love you and miss you so much my heart hurts and aches every day but I know that it will get better soon but will never forget what a wonderful and beautiful mother you were to me and your grandson you helped me raise and all the things that I went through in life you were there for me know matter how bad or good you didn´t judge me mama I love you to the moon and back and some love your daughter heather

So sorry to hear of Joanne´s passing. Went to school together and worked together for a while . We lost touch but thought of her. Didn´t know how to reach her again. My condolences to the family. So sorry.

so sad to read of joanne's passing. I worked with her for 20 years at NNH and another 7 years at rockridge. she just couldn't get rid of me. my thoughts are with joanne's family, esp Sheila.
