Age 84, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away July 22, 2024. Visitation will be August 15, 2024 from 10-11am with a service at 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek, OH.

As a precious cousin of mine, Charles always raised the bar- to be the best. What treasured memories of our families getting together frequently- and always for Sunday dinners and holidays. Chuck, who was the oldest cousin, was always looked up to as a role model. Now he leaves a legacy that continues to inspire me. Praying for comfort and peace for Sandy and the rest of his family. I am so sorry for Sandy and the Family. I am quite emotional as I write this, despite many years passing since I last saw Chuck. I am saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. My memories of Chuck cover many years. Growing up, my most vivid memories revolve around Grandpa Dunkelberger's absolute pride in Chuck's prowess in sports, his time at the Air Force Academy and his dedication to his Faith. I vividly remember an epic trip with Uncle Clyde, Aunt Ruth and Sue and Ann to visit Chuck and to meet Sandy. (Sandy, you were a very vivid and nice memory on that trip...if my memory serves me correctly , you worked for a radio station at that time.) Despite his many duties, I remember Chuck help us immensely at my first wedding. Also, (epically Chuck) he made sure my Dad's funeral was right and proper for a war-injured Veteran, having local veterans provide a United States flag over my father's casket and a presence at his service. All of my memories of Chuck are of a fully dedicated Officer who earned and deserved the utmost respect.
