Linda McCormick Felts, age 78, of Memphis, Tennessee, met her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 1, 2024 surrounded by family as she entered her eternal heavenly home. Linda was greatly loved and admired by her family, friends, and business associates. Family and doing kind gestures for others were Linda's life--those that knew her say "Amen!"
Linda's journey began on May 26, 1946 born to Janell Hughes McCormick and John James McCormick in Grenada, Mississippi. Linda was a 1964 graduate of Winona High School in Winona, Mississippi and a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, Cordova, Tennessee. As owner of Linda M. Felts Interiors, she was an accomplished and published interior designer admired and respected by many clients and colleagues. Her special interest were antiques, estate sales, travel, and family gatherings and events. Linda was very caring, loving, generous, and loved deeply; she was an avid and cheerful "Giver" and generous to all beyond words or expressions.
We celebrate Linda's life of loving, leading, and living as only she did--giving much, appreciating history, exploring personal and business opportunities, collecting worldwide artifacts, accessories, and antiques, and the fierce fighter she was to the end for her family by believing and living the Bible verse: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, Philippians 4:13.
Linda's late husband, William "Bill" C. Felts, Jr., was her devoted life partner and greatest supporter of "Miss Linda's" interests and endeavors. Linda is survived by sons, Michael R. Thomas (Rita), John H. Thomas (Amanda), George Felts (Traci); granddaughters, Emma K. Thomas, Bailey E. Felts; siblings, Durwood McCormick (Cheryl), Ginger McCormick Parks (Ray); nephew, C. Justin Barnes; nieces, Beau McCormick Parsons (Shannon), Tara I. Tate (Chris); great-nieces and great-nephews, Gracie, Hugh, Abi, Ellie, Jack, Ethan, Mary Olivia; and special friends, Tom Mahan, Tony Nunley, Tia Fleming, Lisa Wakefield; and many more-and much appreciation to Traci Felts for her loving and excellent caregiving.
Linda's Life Celebration Service will be held on Wednesday, August 7 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN with visitation from 10:30 AM until the funeral service 12:00 PM.
