Floyd Benny Johnson, age 85, of Trotwood, OH, departed this life Saturday, August 10, 2024. Funeral Service 11 am Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Phillips Temple CME Church, 3620 Shiloh Springs Rd. Trotwood, OH. Visitation 9am- 11 am. Family will receive friends 10 am-11 am. Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home.

Condolences snd prayers to the family and friends of Bro. Floyd Johnson. A gentle "giant" of a man. When I was younger, I met Bro. Johnson at 1st Baptist Church in Ridgewood Heights. I will never forget his kindness. With his physical stature, He could have demanded and commanded but I never saw a different side of him. Years later I was excited to volunteer work at NAACP under President Johnson´s administration. A Faithful, concerned community leader. A Roosevelt Teddy Alumni with my Father who recently passed away, Bro. Johnson condolences to our family was beautiful and encouraged our hearts greatly. I would ask Sis. Johnson about him and asked her to tell him "hello". A Beautiful couple and a beautiful family. I was thrilled (years later) to be in Worship with them at Phillips Temple. This "gentle" giant has transitioned from labor to reward. He shined a great light!
