Frances Durby Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 25, 2024.
Frances Alberta Durby, of Memphis, TN went home to be with the Lord on October 23, 2024. She was born on February 26,1938 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
She loved her grandchildren and had a dog named Paco that she loved very dearly. She loved to crochet, go shopping every weekend with Debby and Ashlie, and spending time with her sisters Donna and Brenda. I am so grateful that we were able to be there till the end, as she passed away peacefully at home. Mom will be missed dearly and will forever be in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Gary Durby; her parents John and Mary Evans; one daughter, Denise Potts; and one brother, John Wesley Evans.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Deborah Marbury (Greg); two sisters, Donna Dawson and Brenda Nabors; five grandchildren, Jeff Durby, Tina Ruiz, Ashlie Huntley, Anglea Jones, and Chris Potts; and nine great grandchildren, Aiden Huntley, Ethan Huntley, Ava Huntley, Chandler Jones, Chloe Jones, Bailey Jones, Zoe Potts, Autumn Potts, and Khayson Potts.
Family will have a memorial service at a later date.
Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be missed dearly.

I knew Frances, when we worked at Union Planters/ Region Bank. Frances knew I loved purple and she knitted a purple blanket for me. This has been over 20 years ago. I still have that blanket today. I also knew her husband Gary. Both of them where very sweet and kind. The family is in my prayers. Gone from your presence, but never from you heart. Gail
