CONDOLENCES to You and YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY.
Hello Joey, and to the ENTIRE Denney Family.
I was waiting for a call from Dorth, like she often does, to wish me a Happy Birthday.
DECEMBER 10. Yes, the same as your grandpa BOB.
And I usually called her on, or before her birthday Jan. 25. (or we call in between and catch up)
LOTS of FUNNY Calls. !!!!
This time ... I found and heard... ALL of her emails and phone number were disconnected.
Then I looked up on Google and saw she had passed. Much to my surprise, because the last time we talked she said she was fine, even seeing Dick Dumont who we both knew from school.
Dorothy Brown was MY FIRST (and BEST) FRIEND. We met in kindergarten at Saint Elizabeth School.
As you can imagine ..We laughed a lot..
She was Small... I was Tall... and we hit it off right away. Again... Lot´s of laughs.
Our Tepe family lived right up the street (with grandma at her house), at 1909 Mills Ave. Then our Mom and Dad bought another house right around the corner on 4408 Franklin Ave.
My sister Joan (10 years older than me) knew RITA Brown from 'their classes' at St. E.
Joan and I both ( separately ) moved to California, and have been here for decades.
After my husband (of 43 years) passed away in 2016, I moved to this town 2017 to be near her.
My dear sister Joan is now currently (on her deathbed). She is fighting 3 kinds of cancers!
But long ago, in the 70´s, after her divorce, Joan came to visit me where I lived in Los Altos Hills, CA. She lived in Atlanta, Georgia. AND... after an unplanned meeting with our Nextdoor neighbor, she met, fell in love and married (the retired 4General) Chesarek and Joan became MY Nextdoor neighbor in Los Altos Hills, CA.
Back to Dotty. She will ALWAYS be With ME. I will ALWAYS >>> A L W A Y S <<< remember HER Smile, Giggle, and endless Energy, Intelligence, and LOVE she had to give!
I apologize for rambling on, but sooo many memories come back.
I hope and Pray that your entire Family is HEALTHY/strong and managing these winter conditions.
> O Lord, we call upon You in our time of sorrow, that You give us the strength and will to bear our heavy burdens, until we can again feel the warmth and love of Your divine compassion. Be mindful of us and have mercy on us while we struggle to comprehend life's hardships.
Keep us ever in Your watch, till we can walk again with light hearts and renewed spirits. < Amen.
Thank you Joey, for your grandma Dorothy and grandpa Bob.
Have a WONDERFUL DAY and LIFE,
Your grandma´s OLD FRIEND,
GAIL ( Tepe ) PISANI
Gail
P.S. Please tell your siblings, I said Congratulations on your HERITAGE !
