Anita Penick Obituary
Anita Carole Penick, age 90 of Butler Township passed away January 16, 2025, at Randall Residence Nursing Home, West Milton. She was born in Vigo County, Terre Haute, Indiana on December 16, 1934, the daughter of Harry W. and Inez R. (Farrand) Allen. She was a member of the Coca Cola Collectors Club and with her husband started the local chapter of the Coca Cola Club, Buckeye Cola Collectors in 1981 and the Coca Cola Ohio Winterfest in 1983 which is still operating today. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and avid reader, and a silent partner in A&W Electric which her husband owned and operated for 32 years. She is survived by her two sons Steve (Bobette) Penick of Davenport Florida and David (Teresa) Penick of Lewisburg Ohio and two daughters Tammy Ganter of Vandalia Ohio and Kelly (Dave) Busch of Cartersville Georgia, 8 grandchildren Jon Penick of Chicago Illinois, Traci Penick of Orlando Florida, Sara (Joe) Pesch of Kettering Ohio, Megan (Matt) Young of Vandalia Ohio, Jeremy and Emilie Penick of Lewisburg Ohio Joey Johnson of Greenwood Indiana and Levi Johnson of Dayton Ohio and 4 great grandchildren Aubree Ganter and Aurora Young of Vandalia Ohio and Jake and Jonah Pesch of Kettering Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Walter E Penick, her parents, 2 sisters Fern Wade and Betty Baker and 2 brothers Jim and Jack Allen. A gathering of friends and family will be on Friday January 24, 2025, from 11:00 am -1:00 pm at the Zerkle Funeral Home 11900 N Dixie Drive Tipp City Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Buckeye Hospice or the American Diabetes Association of Dayton, Ohio. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.zerklefh.com.

Mom
I am so happy you are with Dad now. No more pain, no more confusion and suffering. Please don´t worry about me, for 70 years I have been living life by the lessons you taught me. Enjoy being "home". I will miss our aimless talks about nothing in particular, arguing over John Michael Higgins shoes and of course being moved to tears overs lyrics we have shared for years. So many songs will always remind me of you Our go to was always" I Will". We´ll be together again soon enough but until then remember, "Who knows how long I´ve you, you know I love you still" Rest in Peace Mom, you have earned it.Godspeed
