Dear Virginia and Family,
Today (Thursday, Jan 30th) I learned of the home going of your loved one. Howard was a very special brother and I would have honored his memory and ministry by attending the celebration on the 25th had I known.
I recall with joy the times I was privileged to serve with Howard during my years as Director of Ohio Ministries. His spirit, wisdom and love for the church was beautifully lived out in his day by day actions.
My prayers are with you and the family as you handle the grief of his absence, while cherishing his memory and ministry. I join you in knowing that one day in glory we will join him in our eternal home.
One statement that has served me since Jan´s passing says, "When the one we loved becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure."
Praying for you,
Vernon Maddox
