Laura Vollmer Obituary
Laura Walker Vollmer was born Moberly, Missouri to Howard and Addie Walker on February 21, 1938. Laura graduated from University of Missouri in 1960 and married Richard Vollmer in 1970 in North Carolina. They then moved to South Florida where they lived for 17 years. Laura was a stay-at-home mother while Stephanie was young then worked in Home Healthcare for several hospitals. After Richard retired, they moved to Lakeview, Arkansas, Oakland, Tennessee and Bartlett, Tennessee. In 2020, Laura moved to Orange Beach, Alabama to be near Stephanie.
Laura Vollmer was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Vollmer and parents, Howard and Addie Walker. Laura and Richard were married for over forty-nine years.
Laura Vollmer is survived by daughter, Stephanie Vollmer Crosslin (Steve); stepson, Richard Fisher Vollmer, Jr. (Kimberly); stepdaughter, Anne Vollmer Bryles (Tommy); grandchildren, Tyler Crosslin, Madison Crosslin, Richard Vollmer (Emily), AnnElizabeth Vollmer, Mariane Vollmer Price (Matt), Will Bryles (Lacie) and Addie Bryles; and great-grandchildren, Lula Kay, Ruby Grace, Parish and Lettie Jo.
A visitation for Mrs. Vollmer will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 11 A.M. Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Tommy Webster of Ellendale Baptist Church in Bartlett, Tennessee, officiating. A family burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bartlett.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Steven Crosslin, Tyler Crosslin, Rick Vollmer and Richard Vollmer.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Ellendale Baptist Church � Mission Fund, 3861 Broadway Road, Bartlett, TN 38135.
