Brian Black Memoriam

In loving memory of Brian E. Black

We cannot believe that it has been a whole year since we had to say goodbye to our beloved Brian E. Black who passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio after an aggressive battle with cancer.

Brian was generous, but humble. He would spare no expense in helping others and preferred to be anonymous. Being an amazing family man, he made sure that a friend of ours was a friend of his. In his early adult years, Brian loved playing vintage baseball with his team, the Carriage Hill Clodblusters. However, once his family grew, he turned to hobbies he could share with all. From watching Ohio State play on Saturdays to taking trips out of town, he made sure everyone had a great time. He loved making others laugh by sending funny jokes and memes - it was his way of checking up on people. Brian was a man of few words but instead a man of innumerable actions. His unconditional love for the people around him was his greatest legacy.

But what he would most want to be remembered by, would be his undying love for his beloved wife of 24 years Lysie Black & his proudest achievement, his daughter Paige Black.

He is preceded in death by father Randy R. Black; grandparents JC & Geneva Black and Copie & Bob Davis; and uncles Dennis Black and Luke & Les Davis.

He is survived by his mother Shirley Black, sister Jeannie Black and Tatay Ardino Mendoza. His US family included uncles and aunts: Franky & Kathy Black; Mary & Jim Hill; Woody & Linda Davis and Family; Nancy Davis and Family and Casey & Robyn and Family with cousins Nick Black and Family; Christine Hill and Family and Karen Hill.

Filipino family members survived by marriage include Ate Gina Magro, Luningning Mesa, Glady Sales, Irene Marcelino, Eujane Fajutagana plus mga pamangkin.

Lastly, Brian is survived by his "Adopted" family - sister

Mylene Saunders, daughter Stephanie Saunders and honorary son Bernie (Mylene) Tolitol.
