Catherine Hillberry Obituary

Catherine Alberta Hillberry (Cathy) passed away on January 31, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband James Hillberry (Jim) and her sister Evelyn (George) Harris. She is survived by her five children, Greg Abel, Steve (Janet) Abel, Kelly (Lori) Abel, Adam Abel, and Kevin (Renee) Abel, as well as seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Cathy enjoyed many things such as playing the piano and singing specials for her church where she developed many lifelong friendships, spending time with her family, and traveling to the mountains of Tennessee. She is loved to no end and will be missed every day moving forward. The family would like to express a heart-felt thanks and sentiment of gratitude to Cathy's niece, Mary Evelyn, for providing primary care and companionship throughout Cathy's final years. A visitation for Catherine will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, With service to follow at 2:00 PM. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 3:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133.
