Carla Herron Obituary

Carla Herron, age 63, died February 3, 2025. Carla Yvonne Herron was born June 9, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee to Wilma Reeves Herron and Lawrence Herron, Jr. The youngest of nine children, she was a light source and constant laughter to all she encountered. Carla accepted Christ at a very early age. She loved the Lord, and that love caused her to seek his guidance all the days of her life. Carla served as the principal aunt to every one of her nieces and nephews. Her relationship with each of them was extremely special and personal. They all cherished her in their unique way. A woman of God filled with gifts that touched everyone around her, Carla was funny, kind, selfless, and immensely talented. One true gift that the world was not privileged enough to witness was her impeccable singing voice. She loved singing all things Phillip Bailey, and could match him note for note! Carla was a community health seminar coordinator, but it was as an assistant support staff member that she dedicated service. Carla is preceded in death by her mother Wilma Reeves Herron(1996), father Lawrence Herron Jr. (2001), and brother William "Billy Ray" Herron (2016). She leaves to mourn her many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Service will take place Sunday at 2 pm Serenity Funeral Home 1638 Sycamore View Road Memphis TN. 38134 901 379 0861 Serenity Funeral Home, Tel. (901)379-0861
