Terry Copland Obituary
Terry was born in Chicago on April 8, 1945 to Donald and Lilly Copland, and had 4 sisters (Annabelle, Virginia, Laurel, and Diana) and 1 brother (Donald.) He began his Navy career on August 5, 1963 and retired on February 28, 1983. He then began his second career at FedEx as a Senior Technical Trainer where he would celebrate his second retirement in 2010.
In his younger years, Terry was an avid fisherman and a true weekend warrior. He spent his free time doing household DIY projects with his wife, Betty, and plotting light-hearted pranks with his best friend and brother-in-law, Casey Cody, to be played on his mother-in-law, Marion. In later years, he enjoyed going out to dinner, partaking in game nights with family and friends, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Terry leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Betty Copland; a sister Diana Schaefer; a son Cliff (Julie) Copland; 2 stepsons Jimmy (Shannon) Cleveland and Tommy Rodgers; stepdaughter Karen (Landon) King; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a long list of extended family and friends.
Terry requested there be no formal funeral services and in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Tipton County Paws and Claws.

Terry and I were teammates at
FedEx for 11 years. I never met a more dedicated employee in my life. Terry´s work ethic was second to none.
I specifically remember calling Terry to come in on a Saturday to take care of an emergency need. Terry was at a family birthday party. Terry said he would be in shortly.
Terry was one of the best employees I worked with in my
32 years at FedEx. Terry was a highly skilled employee. I had a great admiration for Terry. I thank God Terry was on my team.
